Building Relationships

Congratulations to newly elected Novato Unified School District Trustees Jennifer Treppa and Derek Knell. Both former candidates were endorsed by the Novato Federation of Teachers. Jennifer has the skills to negotiate and be a problem solver. She supports teachers with an understanding that the classroom is where learning takes place. Derek Knell will help set a positive direction for NUSD and look at the big issues facing the District, finding solutions through proper analysis and consensus-building. Local 1986 looks forward to a productive working relationship with our new and established Trustees so that teacher's salaries in Novato remain competitive to comparable districts.
